Schemata help us understand information easy and quick. It is a key ingredient of cognitive theories. When you see a table, you know automatically that you can place something on it. Same thing happens when you see a chair. You know automatically what it is and what you can do with it.

What happens though when we mix schemata that are saved in our memories? This question inspired us to create the Meso table. A table has always many parts you can grab but we never do it. The reasons are that we are not used to move parts of a table and because we never get that information from a table. We changed that by adding to the „inside“ table a plate in a conservative way that can be moved to the left to right.
